It was purple day at work today, well in North devon really, raising money for the chemotherapy unit at our local hospital. It is the charity that we collected for at Richard’s (my little bruv) funeral. It is also the chosen charity of lovely Vanessa, whom you might remember sadly died of the blood cancer leukaemia in february. Vanessa worked at my Tesco and was well loved so everyone came in dressed in purple today. One of the girls Helen even came in on her holiday to face paint for donations Here are my nails, I had my face painted and sprayed my hair purple and glittery, it was so irritating that I had to get straight in the shower and forgot to take a photo! But my nails are still painted two shades of purple.
Looks quite pale there but it is darker IRL.
I had a Proud Mummy Moment reading Ali’s end of infants school report.
And finally some snaps of the flowers around the house and garden at the moment.
One of the earliest handmade flowers on a canvas I made a while ago.
My orchid that I got on reduction at work for £1 a few weeks ago, still going strong.
A couple Mum has grown from seed, just blossomed this week.
And a phoenix from the rain damaged ashes.
What a beautiful post Jen.
ReplyDeleteWell done for raising funds for the charity.
You can be really proud of your Alex. They wrote " we will miss his mischief and cuddles". Funny because it is exactly the way I see him, lol. xxx
sounds like a good day, well done to alex on his report and I love the flowers and layout you did.
ReplyDeleteLove the report .. Lilly's from nursery was so honest.. 'sometimes we have to remind her who is in charge!'
ReplyDeleteI am always amazed at how long the orchids last xx
